100,000th Leapmotor Vehicle Rolls off Production Line

Zhu Jiangming, founder and Chairman of Leapmotor, issued an open letter on Tuesday, saying that its 100,000th production vehicle has recently rolled off of its production line. This also means that Leapmotor has now become another new energy manufacturer after the likes of NIO, XPeng, Li Auto and Hozon Auto, to reach the 100,000 unit milestone.

Zhu Jiangming said: “On June 28, 2019, Leapmotor’s first production car, the S01, rolled off of our production lines. Now on June 28, 2022, our 100,000th production car, the C11 performance version, has left the warehouse. It took us three years to complete this historical leap from 0 to 100,000!” It is worth noting that it only took half a year for Leapmotor to move up from selling 50,000 to 100,000.

At present, the company has launched four models: S01, T03, C11, and C01. Among them, the latest model C01 is positioned as a mid-size sedan, which was officially released on May 10, and the pre-sale price range is 180,000-270,000 yuan ($26838 – $40257). According to data released by Zhu Jiangming, 60,000 orders have been secured obtained for the C01 after only a month of pre-sale.
