Xiaomi Renames Sports App to Zepp Life
On Wednesday morning, Beijing-based tech firm Xiaomi announced it will rename its sports app to “Zepp Life.” In addition, as a brand offering wearable devices with a significant amount of users worldwide, Xiaomi will also launch a new app, Mi Sports Health, as the official app for its wearable products, enabling better integration with the wearable products of Xiaomi.
The new application will gradually support the migration of users’ original data, and users can log in to the Xiaomi or Apple app stores to download new applications. In the future, Xiaomi will continue to optimize the application of “Xiaomi Sports Health.”
To encourage eco-chain companies to develop their own brands, Xiaomi agreed to rename the existing “Xiaomi Sports” to Zepp Life, a sports and health application owned and operated independently by Zepp Health.
The Zepp Life app supports connections to Xiaomi Mi Band 1-6, Weight Scale and Body Fat Scale, and all course data and sports data collected during use is stored on Zepp Health’s servers on condition that users’ privacy and security are guaranteed.
