Avatr, Backed by Changan Auto, Huawei and CATL, Launches Limited Edition SUV
Avatr Technology, established jointly by Changan Auto, Huawei and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), announced on Thursday a limited-edition SUV called the Avatr 011 alongside Givenchy’s creative director, Matthew M. Williams. With only 500 units for sale, the car is built on the basis of the Avatr 11, with an all black inside and outside appearance, and a MMW Logo printed on the side.
Matthew M. Williams is an American designer, and the co-founder of fashion brand 1017 ALYX 9SM. He was appointed as creative director of Givenchy women’s and men’s collections in June 2020. He has previously worked for Dior, Alexander McQueen, Hood by Air and other brands.
The Avatr 011 is equipped with a multi-functional steering wheel, a large-sized suspended central control screen and a sports seat. The length, width and height of the new car are 4880*1970*1601mm and the wheelbase is 2975mm. As for the vehicle’s power, it is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 425kW.
According to the official, the new car has 400TOPS intelligent driving power, a 700km cruising range, acceleration from 0-100km/h in less than 4 seconds, and 200kW fast charging technology.
Avatr Technology combines the advantages of Changan Auto, Huawei, and CATL in various fields to create an intelligent electric vehicle technology platform dubbed “CHN.”
The company’s first high-end smart electric vehicle, the Avatr 11, will be officially unveiled this year. This model will be equipped with the “Huawei HI” full-stack smart car solution and the latest electrification technology of CTAL. In the next five years, Avatr will launch a number of models one after another.

Avatr 11 was revealed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) earlier this month, suggesting that the new model will soon be put into mass production. It will begin deliveries in the third quarter.
In addition, Huawei is actively exploring the field of commercial and industrial vehicles. Huawei hopes to build a diversified cockpit experience based on its HarmonyOS operating system, and more vehicle-mounted applications will be released this year.
