OnePlus 6T Confirmed to Launch in October with In-display Fingerprint Unlocking
OnePlus 6T, an upgrade of the bestselling OnePlus 6 is expected to launch this October.
It is now confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will adopt a waterdrop screen instead of the notch design, just like the previously launched OPPO R17. The lower bezel of the OnePlus 6T will be narrower, bringing about a larger screen-to-body ratio.

According to the American media website CNET, OnePlus has confirmed that the new flagship will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. “This will make it not only the first OnePlus phone with the technology, but also the first phone to have it that is widely available in the U.S. too.” The technology has already been seen in several flagship products such as OPPO R17 and Vivo Nex, but is a first for OnePlus.
According to PConline, the 6T will also be equipped with a pop-up front-facing camera, which is slightly wider than that of OPPO Find X. With a 3D facial recognition function, the phone is likely to support facial recognition payment.
It is also worth noting that the 6T will have a triple rear camera setup, which is an upgrade of the prevalent dual camera found in many flagship phones. The triple camera setup was first seen in the Huawei P20 Pro, enabling it to top the DXO Mark rankings. OnePlus 6T will also support 5G network.
