Lenovo Launches New Smartphone with Quadruple Camera
After teasing the new Z5 Pro earlier this month, Chang Cheng, Vice President of Lenovo, released a quadruple camera design on Sept. 30, indicating that a new smartphone with four cameras will be released this October.
As shown in the official poster teased on Weibo, the four rear cameras are arranged in a square, and the flash is placed at the diagonal center. The slogan also hinted that the cameras would be waterproof. The design, however, is very similar to that of Huawei Mate 20.

It is at present unclear whether the quad-cam set up will be used on the coming Z5 Pro or on a later smartphone model to be launched in the future.

Leaked information by PhoneArena indicates that Lenovo might not be the first to release a quadruple camera phone. Samsung’s new phone’s slogan “4X Fun” implies that the new model, rumored to be named Galaxy A9 Star Prom, either has a quadruple-camera, or features 4X optical zoom technology.
On Sept.28, a video Lenovo posted on Weibo teased that its new handset Z5 Pro will sport a bezel-less display and might come with a slider mechanism. A closer look at the video also reveals what could be an in-display fingerprint sensor. Lenovo states that the phone will be launched on China’s National Day, Oct. 1.
