Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0 to Be Unveiled on July 27
Shenzhen-based tech giant Huawei announced on July 18 that its new product launch event is scheduled for July 27. In addition to HarmonyOS, the firm will bring forth a series of new products at the event. Previously, Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei Terminal BG, announced that the number of HarmonyOS devices had exceeded 240 million, and the shipment of operating system-related devices had exceeded 150 million.
In mid-June, Huawei’s HarmonyOS 3.0 Developer Beta version started public beta invitations. This new version enhances the application development ability of the JS/eTS language, further improving the functions of ArkUI, a declarative UI development framework, and ArkCompile. It can also develop complex interface applications with the JS/eTS language, and at the same time, improve application launch speed.
The devices supported by Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0 Developer Beta version include the P50 series, Mate 40 series and MatePad Pro 12.6-inch 2021 model.
In early July, HarmonyOS 3.0 Developer Beta version began to be updated on users’ devices. According to the firm’s update log, HarmonyOS 3.0 Beta brings intelligent experience of the whole scenario and comprehensive improvement in interaction design, multi-device interconnection, performance and user care.
A popular tech industry commentator with Weibo username “Digital Chat Station” also said that HarmonyOS 3.0 Beta is compatible with AOSP 12, adding functions including super-terminal and multi-device mobile communication sharing and super desktop. It also supports custom large folders and improves privacy protections.
Another Weibo blogger (“Changzhang shi Guantongxue”) said that Huawei will unveil its Huawei Free Buds Pro 2 headphones, Huawei Smart Screen S Pro 86, MateBook X Pro new models, flagship tablet MatePad Pro 11 and Huawei Enjoy 50 Pro at the coming press event.
