Baidu’s 2018 Revenue Breaks 100 Billion Yuan

On the morning of Jan. 2, the first working day of 2019 in China, Baidu CEO Robin Li sent out an internal letter announcing that Baidu’s 2018 revenue had officially exceeded 100 billion yuan ($14.5 billion).

Li wrote in the letter that the company’s operating income of 2018 had officially exceeded 100 billion yuan, marking a milestone for the Chinese Internet giant.

“This is a milestone for us to innovate, accelerate growth, and serve our customers,” said Li in the letter.

He stated that Baidu has always been recognized as the most dedicated company for technological innovation in China, providing search engines, forums, encyclopedia, cloud storage and so on to the public.

“The Baidu that’s able to make good products and loved by users has returned!” Li claims that this is the general brand image that Baidu has on users in China. “We will definitely show our competitiveness and not let this new era down!”
