Vivo X Fold S Specifications Leaked
On August 25, Chinese tipster with Weibo username “Digital Chat Station” revealed that the Vivo X Fold S would be released in September. Compared with the current Vivo X Fold, the new model may adopt the updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset made by TSMC, and will have a battery capacity of about 4700 mAh. It supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. This new smartphone will be available in red color.
According to the tipster, the vivo X Fold S maintained its position as the flagship like its previous iteration. The design maintains the characteristics of the previous generation but has an upgraded battery life and faster charging. The device is meant to be a strong competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Huawei Mate Xs 2 and Xiaomi MIX Fold 2.
In April this year, vivo launched the vivo X Fold, a foldable smartphone. The smartphone is equipped with internal and external dual 120Hz E5 screens, and a Qualcomm 8 Gen 1 flagship chip. It adopts an original design featuring rounded corners, space-grade floating wing hinges, and dual-screen fingerprints. It is priced from 8999 yuan.
The vivo X Fold also features a a 8.03-inch super-sensitive folding screen, with E5 luminescent material, Samsung DIA arrangement, 2K+ resolution and 120Hz. It is equipped with a superconducting anti-reflection coating and features an in-house developed adaptive refresh rate based on LTPO debugging.

The vivo X Fold has the world’s first internal and external dual 120Hz E5 screen. It is equipped with large sound cavity stereo and an independent Hi-Fi chip. When used in a closed state, the vivo X Fold supports several hovering functions, including camera, viewing, motion and video call.
vivo’s performance this year has been stellar. According to Counterpoint Research’s latest sale report on August 24, vivo topped second place with a 13% share in China’s high-end smart smartphone market (wholesale price of 2,750 yuan and above), which is more than twice that in the same period last year.
