Avatr 11 to Be Displayed in Huawei’s Flagship Stores in Beijing and Shenzhen This Year

Avatr Technology, a brand co-developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei and CATL, has reached an agreement with Huawei with which the brand’s first model, Avatr 11, will be put on display in Huawei’s flagship stores in Beijing and Shenzhen later this year, Cailian Press reported on October 28.

Avatr’s spokesperson confirmed this report, saying that the unveiling should take place around December. The company is the second co-developed brand of Huawei and others that has settled in Huawei’s stores after AITO, which was co-created by Huawei and Seres.

Changan Automobile and CATL are the first and second largest shareholders of Avatr, while Huawei does not participate in shares, but only provides full-stack solutions for smart cars. Up until now, the number of Avatr’s direct stores has reached 63, covering first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, as well as more than 20 new first-tier cities such as Chengdu and Chongqing.

In terms of infrastructure, Avatr cooperated with BP to build high-voltage fast charging stations in China. According to the plan, by the end of 2023, the two sides will build more than 100 customized high-voltage fast charging stations in 19 cities nationwide, with the power of a single station reaching 480kW and the maximum power of a single charging gun reaching 240kW.

The Avatr 11 is positioned as a medium and large SUV and was based on CHN, a new generation of intelligent electric vehicle technology platform. It consists of three models, with 555km and 680km battery life under CLTC conditions, and a price range from 349,900 yuan ($48,231) to 409,900 yuan ($56,501). It faces strong rivals such as the AITO M7, NIO ES6 and EC6 and Tesla Model Y.

The Avatr 11 is equipped with Huawei’s HarmonyOS and DriveONE twin-motor four-wheel drive systems, and packs CATL’s CTP battery. The 750V high-voltage platform can support 200km of cruising life after charging for 10 minutes. The first batch of Avatr 11s are expected to be delivered in December 2022. In addition, the Avatr 011, a joint limited edition of Avatr 11 series, is also scheduled to be delivered starting in December.

On October 28, Avatr improved the rights and interests of Avatr 11 buyers. Users who pay the deposit from November 1 to December 31 can enjoy a lifetime vehicle warranty, a lifetime warranty for electric control, drive and battery, a 9,000 yuan fund for an upgrade, a one-year intelligent driving upgrade service and free licensing service. Compared with the policy for buyers before October 31, the fund for upgrade has been reduced from 12,000 yuan to 9,000 yuan, but the free licensing service has been added.
