Xiaomi 13 Ultra Smartphone with Leica Camera to Be Launched This Month
On the afternoon of April 6, Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi and German camera manufacturer Leica jointly announced that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone, which they developed together, will be released this month. The release date for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may be in the next week or so, between April 17-21.
The official announcement emphasized that the new model will bring an unprecedented mobile imaging system solution and Leica’s most perfect Summicron lens in the field of mobile imaging.
According to the promotional materials, Xiaomi has put a lot of effort into integrating its entire system with better tuning on its secondary camera. This may achieve an effect where users can not perceive switching between lenses.

In addition, both Leica and Xiaomi specifically emphasized that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available globally.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra model was only launched in China, leaving many overseas users eagerly anticipating its global arrival. Many fans and bloggers worldwide even purchased the model’s Chinese version through third-party purchasing agents. After releasing their latest model, the Xiaoami 13 Ultra, it will become the firm’s first flagship smartphone with Leica camera available worldwide.
According to previously leaked information, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is expected to be equipped on Xiaomi 13 Ultra while maintaining the design will be similar to those found on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra model.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra boasts four rear cameras that promise exceptional imaging quality. These include a 50MP IMX989 variable aperture main sensor, a 50MP IMX858 vertical-style long-focus lens, a 50MP IMX858 periscope-style long-focus lens with a focal length of 120mm and a 50MP IMX858 ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, the front camera is expected to feature a high-resolution 32MP lens.
