2024 Beike Beijing Marathon Concludes Successfully
BEIJING, November 4, 2024 – The 2024 Beike Beijing Marathon and National Marathon Championships (3rd leg) kicked off from Tian’anmen Square on November 3, with 30,000 runners participating. Returning as title sponsor for the third consecutive year, KE Holdings Inc. (“Beike” or the “Company”) (NYSE: BEKE, HKEX: 2423) expanded its support this year with a larger corporate team and enhanced runner services.
Under the theme “Inheriting the Olympic Spirit and Promoting National Fitness,” the marathon race drew unprecedented interest, with 182,949 applications from 43 countries and regions received in just three days after registration opened on October 2.
Ethiopia’s Lemi Berhanu Hayle won the men’s race in 2:09:16, with China’s Chen Tianyu taking third in 2:09:48. Kenya’s Vicoty Chepngeno dominated the women’s race in 2:21:56, while China’s Liu Min set a personal best of 2:28:36, claiming the Chinese women’s title and the National Marathon Championships (3rd leg).
Beike’s participation extended far beyond sponsorship, fielding a diverse team of agents, engineers, and rental property managers. The “Beike Star Running Team,” comprising more than 600 running enthusiasts from across the company, participated alongside 60 community runners sponsored through Beijing Lianjia, Beike’s real estate brokerage brand. The company’s home renovation brand, Beiwoo, also entered a team.
Beyond fielding its own runners, Beike provided comprehensive support for all participants. Over 155 volunteers and cheerleaders staffed strategically placed aid stations, offering refreshments and encouragement. At the finish line, Beike and its brands delivered recovery services including muscle massage guns, first aid, warming ginger tea, and professional therapy sessions.
As part of its evolution into a one-stop residential service platform, Beike embodies the marathon spirit throughout year-round community engagement. Lianjia has created over 110 community running groups, organized more than 3,500 runs, and supported local runners through supply stations at its branches. Beike also prioritizes senior wellness through “fall prevention” workshops.
Like a marathon, Beike’s 23-year evolution from Lianjia reflects a journey of perseverance and innovation. The company has grown to provide comprehensive housing services, from transactions to renovations and property management. Committed to empowering better living, Beike continues to embody the marathon spirit in partnership with consumers for a brighter future.
