Neta Auto CEO Speculated to Have Resigned
According to a recent report by “Auto Wiki,” a Chinese media outlet, Neta Auto’s CEO, Zhang Yong, has recently resigned from the position. Following his departure, Zhang has joined “Dali Niumowang,” a logistics commercial vehicle brand under the umbrella of Henan-based Deli New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. It appears he will reunite with his former colleague, Jiang Feng, who served as the Executive Vice President of Neta Auto.
The report further highlights that Neta Auto is currently under the control of its major shareholder, the Nanning State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. It suggests a strategic shift in the company’s focus towards overseas markets. Alongside Zhang Yong’s departure, changes among other high-ranking executives are also underway, signaling a potential reshuffling within the company’s top management.
Zhang Yong was notably active on various social media platforms in the first half of this year, frequently interacting with netizens. However, he has recently gone quiet. His latest activity on Weibo, dated October 14th, was a repost of a video from Zhou Hongyi asking netizens to recommend driving schools. His most recent post on Douyin was also about a month ago.
On December 2, Neta refuted rumors about Zhang Yong’s resignation. A Neta Auto representative stated, “He is still with the company and has not resigned. The company’s operations continue as usual.”
