ByteDance Denies Collaborating with Nubia to Develop AI Smartphones
Today, there are media reports that ByteDance has chosen to collaborate with Nubia to develop an AI smartphone. The two parties have signed a framework agreement, and by Q1 2025, they will come up with specific plans. Prototype production and testing will take place in Q2 2025, and by the end of Q3 2025 until October, there may be a product launch event introducing new products. The price range for the phone is expected to be between 5000-7000 yuan. ByteDance officials responded that this information is not true and they do not have any related plans.
In mid-December last year, there were reports that ByteDance’s Doubao Large Model was collaborating with ZTE smartphones. A person in charge of Doubao previously stated that this news is false. Doubao Large Model has already had deep collaborations with many smartphones but has not discussed the possibility of establishing a new brand or had any chip-related cooperation with ZTE Corporation.
