Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s Starting Price in Europe is 1499 Euros, Surpassing iPhone 16 Pro Max
On the afternoon of March 2nd local time, Xiaomi held a launch event in Barcelona, Spain, to globally introduce the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones.
Among them, the starting price of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in Europe is 1499 euros (approximately 11368 yuan, 16GB+512GB), surpassing Apple’s most expensive model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and significantly higher than the domestic price of 6999 yuan for the same version. The standard version of Xiaomi is also simultaneously released in overseas markets, with a starting price of 999 euros (approximately 7576 yuan, 12GB+512GB), which is also higher than the domestic price of 4799 yuan.
Launching new products just before the exhibition opens highlights Xiaomi‘s focus on European and other overseas markets. Observers learned on-site that Xiaomi introduced the latest progress in the “Whole Home Ecosystem” and revealed that its various businesses such as smartphones, cars, AIoT, are all accelerating their international expansion. In addition to officially launching the Xiaomi 15 series smartphones, Xiaomi will also officially introduce large household appliances overseas and plans to bring Xiaomi cars to the global market in the coming years.
According to market research firm Canalys, Xiaomi‘s global smartphone shipments last year reached 169 million units, a 15% year-on-year increase, with a market share of 14%, ranking just below Samsung and Apple’s 18%. In the European market, although Xiaomi‘s shipment volume ranks third, its 16% market share is less than half of Samsung’s (34%) and lags behind Apple by 10 percentage points. The two tech giants still dominate most of the high-end market share.
The newly launched Xiaomi 15 Ultra is considered by Xiaomi as the culmination of five years of exploration into high-end devices. This model is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 1-inch main camera + 200 million pixel periscope lens, Leica ultra-pure optical system, Xiaomi‘s Star Communication System, and Tian Tong satellite communication, among other features.
