Smartisan Technology To Hold Black Tech Launch Event Eyeing Consumer Products

Smartisan Technology officially announced today that it will hold a launch event featuring black technology at the Olympic Stadium of Beijing University of Technology on December 3, with the theme “Old Man and the Sea”. The company hasn’t yet disclosed the exact products it’s going to release. According to tech media TMTpost, Luo will feature prominently at the event.
It has been unveiled that the new technology to be launched at the event could cover a variety of daily necessities including industrial consumer goods, science and technology products, sports equipment, medical products, and more.
In the past few days from November 15 to 20, Luo has been posting on Chinese social media Weibo continuously, searching for different connections, mainly with top executives from different brands, including toothbrush brands like Philips and Oral-B, and bathroom products like Kohler and Villeroy & Boch. Even condom brand Durex appeared on the list. It remains unclear whether he is opening up a grocery store or just generating publicity before the launch event.
Luo has tried his luck in a number of different industries since Smartisan was acquired by Bytedance, including e-cigarettes. He always invests significant resources in marketing every time he enters a new industry. He once wrote on Weibo after deciding to throw himself into the e-cigarette industry, “Let the electronic cigarette industry usher in a true industrial design and bid farewell to the country style.” However the business was hindered due to stricter government regulations.
