Huawei Unveils Nova 7 Series with 64MP Cameras
Huawei has launched the Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7 SE, a series of mid-range 5G devices that target young women. Like the earlier models of Huawei’s Nova line, the Nova 7 series puts an emphasis on the selfie camera performance and the exterior design.
The Nova 7 and 7 Pro both feature a 32MP autofocus selfie camera while the 7 Pro also packs an 8MP 105-degree ultra-wide angle lens. On the back, the 7 Pro adopts a quad-camera array, namely a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, an 8MP periscope module capable of 5X optical and up to 50X hybrid zoom, and a 2MP macro shooter. The Nova 7 has a similar rear camera setup, except the 8MP periscope module is replaced by an 8MP shooter which only has 3X optical and 5X hybrid zoom.

Both the Nova 7 and 7 Pro feature the Kirin 985 chipset, which was just released last week, and will be able to maintain stable 5G connections even on high-speed railways and subways.
The 7 Pro is built around a curved 6.57 OLED FHD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio while the Nova 7 is equipped with a 6.53 OLED FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Both devices sport 4,000 mAh batteries but weigh less than 200g.
In addition to the Nova 7 and 7 Pro, the 7 SE comes as a more affordable alternative. It also packs a 64MP main camera and a 4,000 mAh battery with 40W fast charging like the two higher-end variants. However, it adopts the Kirin 820, instead of the latest 985. And it comes with a 6.5-inch IPS display with a 16MP selfie camera.
All three versions will be offered in black, purple, green and silver colors, with an additional red color for the 7 and 7 Pro.
Huawei’s Nova 7 SE starts at 2,399 yuan for the 8GB + 128GB model. The Nova 7 is priced at 2,999 yuan for the 8GB + 128GB model, and 3,399 yuan for the 8GB + 256GB option. The 7 Pro is priced at 3,699 yuan for the 8GB + 128GB model, and 4,099 yuan for the 8GB + 256GB model. Official sales kick off on April 28.
