Didi Chuxing Launches Express Services in Kazan, Russia
Didi Chuxing, the world’s leading mobile transportation and convenience platform, today offered its ride-hailing services in Russia, its first Eurasian market.
The launch of the services in Kazan, the capital and biggest city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, marks a new milestone in Didi’s global business expansion as well as its “0811” three-year growth strategy. Kazan is home to Russia’s largest IT park, owning one of the strongest pro-innovation development agenda in the Russian Federation.
Back in April 2020, Chen Wei, Didi’s founder and CEO, announced the “0811” three-year growth strategy where “0” represents safety as a priority and “188” stands for completing more than 100 million daily trips globally, achieving an 8% penetration rate in the domestic mobility market and reaching 800 million monthly active users worldwide.
The services launched in Russia operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary. Didi will bring localized products, comprehensive safety and health features and 24/7 human support to meet the needs of Russian users, drivers and fleets.
“We look forward to building a broad partnership with Russian fleet partners and drivers to provide better, safer and more convenient services to the public,” said Stephen Zhu, Senior Vice President and Head of DiDi’s International Business. Zhu also expressed his appreciation to all Didi teams around the world for their efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
