XPeng Motors Launches Mass-Produced G3, Providing Driverless Solutions for Asia
XPeng Motor released its first mass-produced model, the G3, at CES on January 9. The G3 is scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2018, at which time the company will announce specific configurations and prices.

XPeng Motor already produced its beta version and the 1.0 version of its mass produced care. This time, mass-produced market car was unveiled at CES and will be available in China in a few months. The car is named as G3, G referring to Geek, and the number 3 representing the vehicle category.
In terms of appearance, the G3 has a simple body design and aggressive front face. It is unlike the 1.0 version of its mass produced car. The G3 has an LED headlamp unit, blade wheels, flaming-red brake calipers, floating roof, spoilers and one-piece taillight.
In the interior, the G3 uses a cockpit driver seat and has a panoramic windshield. The driver seat is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument and 15.6-inch suspended touch-control console. The console is driver friendly, integrating online music, maps, navigation, real-time weather and vehicle state control. The driver can control all functions using the intelligent voice system. The G3 is also equipped with high-definition cameras on a 360 degree rotating table, which stores photos and video.
The G3 has a total of 25 smart sensing devices, two front cameras, two side cameras, four panoramic cameras, 3 millimeter wave radars, 12 intelligent ultrasonic sensors and two intelligent cameras.
It is worth mentioning that the camera architecture of the G3 provides a pioneering solution to the Asian driving problem. Previously, XPeng Motor chairman He Xiaopeng said the G3 would apply automatic parking in all common scenarios with the support of autonomous driving functions independently developed by XPeng Motor.
In addition, G3 provides OTA cloud upgrade services, supports remote download and upgrades various Apps verified by XPeng Motor. Also, users can remotely control the doors and windows, monitor the vehicle and turn on the air conditioner through an exclusive App.
