Huawei respects Best Buy decision to stop selling Huawei phones

According to CNET, a person close to the situation said that U.S. electronics retailer Best Buy has stopped selling Huawei smartphones.

Huawei said that it attaches great importance to its relationships with all its partners and fully understands and respects Best Buy’s choice. “In accordance with the commercial confidentiality requirement, we are not able to disclose the details of the cooperation.”

Since the beginning of this year at CES when the partnership between Huawei and AT&T was disrupted by U.S. authorities, the world has been watching Huawei smartphone sales in the United States. The decision made by Best Buy is undoubtedly a heavy blow to Huawei.

Best Buy is planning to stop selling Huawei products in the next few weeks and will end its partnership with Huawei, said the person close to the situation.

According to CNET’s report, Best Buy would not comment on specific contracts with suppliers, but it could change sales for a variety of reasons. “We will not discuss the details of the partnership under company policy.”

Huawei further pointed out that “Huawei currently sell products through a number of leading retailers in the U.S. Products sold in the U.S. not only meet the highest standards of safety, privacy and engineering, but also receive certification from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
