The new store covers an area of over 700 square meters and will sell all the usual Xiaomi products found at a Home Experience store. The list includes all the Xiaomi smartphones, smart home devices, Ninebot products and the list goes on.
Xiaomi has transformed from a smartphone producer to an e-commerce platform with considerable success in recent years. It was only in 2016 when CEO Lei Jun announced plans to open 1000 offline stores in 2020, but the goal has more than doubled by July 2017. Xiaomi senior vice president Wang Xiang was reported saying that the company now has plans to open more than 2000 Mi Stores worldwide by 2020.
With over 300 Mi stores in China, a recent new opening in Paris, and plans to open 100 Mi Home stores in India, Xiaomi is well on its way to achieving this ambitious goal.
Last week, Xiaomi also announced eight products including the flagship Mi 8 phone to celebrate its 8th anniversary. According to Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, these products will be available starting June 5 on both online and offline platforms.
Maybe these products will drive traffic to the newly opened Nanjing Mi Home Experience store.
