Xiaomi’s Mijia Releases Smart Air-Conditioner at Less Than $300
Mijia announced the launch of its Internet of Things (IoT) air-conditioner on its Weibo account on July 23. This is Xiaomi‘s official entrance into the field of large household appliances.

It is reported that the new appliance has an hp of 1.5 hp, level-three energy efficiency and supports temperature control to 0.1 °C of a difference.
The conditioner can be remotely controlled with Mijia App, which means users can turn on the air conditioner on their way home, and enjoy a room filled with cool air once they’re back.
Also noteworthy is its simple and modern design, which has always been one of the most prominent features of Xiaomi products.
The Mijia smart air conditioner is priced at only 1999 yuan, and will be up for sale starting on July 24 on Xiaomi‘s official online store.
At the same time, Xiaomi announced that it will hold a 50 percent off sales campaign in seven cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou and Chengdu.
Last year, Zhimi Science and Technology, an company inside Xiaomi‘s ecosystem, unveiled the Smartmi DC inverter air conditioner in August at a price of 4399 yuan ($660), according to gizmochina. Yunmi, another company under the Xiaomi ecosystem, recently launched a 450L IoT Refrigerator for 5999 yuan.
Other household appliances released by Yunmi include Yunmi kitchen ventilator and cookers. These appliances, however, do not spot the “Xiaomi” or “Mijia” logo.
