
Afari Technology Unveils AI Plan and New Brand

Chongqing, September 28, 2025 — the event "A New Rhythm for Chongqing, Afari's Smart Driving—A Night for AI Smart Driving & Afari Technology Brand Launch" took place in Chongqing. The occasion marked the official debut of Chongqing Qianli Technology Co., Ltd., which also unveiled its new English name "Afari" and its "AI + Vehicle" brand strategy, marking the company’s entry into a new stage of development.
Industry Leaders and Celebrities Join Afari’s Brand Launch
The event gathered major industry figures including Yin Qi, Chairman of Afari Technology, and Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group. They discussed opportunities in the integration of AI and automobiles.
Famed actor and director Xu Zheng appeared as Afari’s Smart Driving Experience Officer, joining professional racer Ma Qinghua in a live reality showcase called “8D Journey with Afari”. Together they demonstrated how Afari’s intelligent driving system successfully navigated Chongqing’s complex terrains — from the steep curves of Gele Mountain to the intricate Panlong Interchange, the bustling Jiefangbei commercial district, and extreme underground parking lots.
Earlier the same day, Yin Qi joined a high-level dialogue themed “AI + Cars: Building the World’s Capital for Intelligent Connected EVs”, alongside Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, and Zhang Xinghai, Chairman of Seres. Participants exchanged insights on how AI is reshaping the automotive industry and reaffirmed Chongqing’s ambition to become a global hub for intelligent connected vehicles.
Afari’s AI Strategy: Smart Driving, Smart Cabin, Smart Mobility
Since embarking on its AI-driven transformation last year, Afari has quickly established a presence across three major domains:
Smart Driving: With large AI models and reinforcement learning at its core. The 8D real-world challenge in Chongqing showcased how its system offers safer, smoother, and more intelligent driving. Using end-to-end models and multi-modal large models, Afari’s technology balances cost and performance, while achieving high adaptability and safety in urban conditions.
Smart Cabin: Afari is reimagining human–vehicle interaction with its next-generation Agent OS, which integrates natural interaction, integrated memory, all-in-one mapping, and a “third living space.” This positions Afari’s smart cabins as not only companions for travel but also extensions of daily life.
Smart Mobility: Afari Technology is accelerating its Robotaxi rollout and developing Level 4 autonomous driving solutions, aiming to create personalized mobile spaces.
Passing Chongqing’s “8D Test”

Chongqing, known for its steep slopes, dense tunnels, and layered road network, has become a natural proving ground for intelligent driving systems. In the live challenge against a professional racer, Afari’s intelligent driving system performed with precision and stability across multiple scenarios: sharp mountain turns, narrow passes, sudden pedestrian intrusions, complex interchanges, underground loops, and crowded commercial areas.
The system’s capabilities are powered by 6D multi-dimensional sensing, automated defense driving, AES intelligent obstacle avoidance, spatiotemporal optimization. These technologies deliver a safer, smoother, and more AI-driven experience that sets new standards for intelligent driving.
Introducing the Afari Brand and the “Afari Plan”
At the event, Afari unveiled its new English brand name “Afari” and logo. The name derives from “Afar” and “Intelligence”, with “AI” embedded at both ends, symbolizing the ambition to journey far with intelligence. The word embeds “AI” at both ends and places “FAR” at the center, which can be interpreted as “With AI, we go far” — expressing the idea of advancing farther together with AI. It can also be read as “A far I”, suggesting “meeting one’s future self,” a metaphor for continuous breakthroughs and becoming a better version of oneself.
The triangular brand logo, built on the initial “A,” symbolizes vision, unity, and strength. Its signature “Afari Red” adds vitality and warmth, reflecting AI’s role in improving human life.
Chairman Yin Qi further elaborated on the “Afari Plan”, a long-term roadmap based on “One Brain, One OS, One Agent.”

As the evening’s finale, 5,000 drones soared above Chongqing’s skyline, transforming the night into a living canvas. They depicted intelligent companions, AI-powered mobility, home robots, and limitless AI brains — turning abstract concepts into vivid and tangible imagery, and offering a glimpse of Afari’s vision for the future of AI.
