Ant Group Announces Improvements to Employee Care Plan, Including Higher Housing Subsidy
IThome reported on Sunday that an internal email of Ant Group was leaked, which showed that all employees of Ant Group in the Chinese mainland will receive a new employee care plan from January 1, 2022, including four benefits: housing subsidy, paid annual leave, car-hailing reimbursement and outing travel subsidy.
Specifically, in terms of the housing subsidy, Ant Group will provide subsidies for employees with less than three years of working service length, with the standard of 2,000 yuan ($314) per month in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and 1,500 yuan per month in other cities. This subsidy is paid with the salary until the employee has more than three years of service length.
In terms of paid annual leave, in response to national policies, Ant Group employees can enjoy fully-paid parental leave for a total of 10 working days each year before their children are three years old. If the local policy provides more than 10 days of paid parental leave, the actual leave enjoyed by the employees are aligned with local polices.
In addition, each employee will have five days of paid leave each year, which can be used for short-term sick leave of the employee and accompanying his or her relatives, including spouses, children, and parents.
In terms of car-hailing reimbursement, the time that Ant Group employees can hail a taxi free of charge at night will be advanced to 8:00 p.m. on working days, and the expenses will continue to be covered by the company. In terms of travel subsidies, the budget each employee can enjoy has increased from 1,200 yuan per year to 2,000 yuan per year.
