ASML: Upgrading and Expanding the Beijing Local Maintenance Center

ASML publicly stated that they will continue to provide maintenance services in the Chinese market.

Previously, ASML had announced plans to establish a new maintenance center in Beijing, but they have since adjusted this statement. “We are not planning to build a local maintenance center in Beijing by 2025. Instead, we will upgrade and expand on our existing foundation this year.”

There were previous reports indicating that after some of ASML’s licenses for providing services and spare parts in China expired at the end of last year, the current Dutch Prime Minister is unlikely to renew them under pressure from the United States.

Currently, about half of ASML’s sales come from China (the latest financial report shows that mainland China contributed €10.195 billion revenue to ASML in 2024, accounting for as high as 36.1% of their total revenue), so losing this market would have significant consequences for them.
