November 10 - Baidu's highly anticipated Xiaodu AI Glasses Pro officially launched on Sunday, nearly one year after their initial unveiling. The glasses are now available for purchase on JD.com at a discounted price of 2,299 yuan ($315), with delivery as fast as the next day.
Weighing just 39 grams, the AI Glasses Pro supports first-person perspective recording and can be fitted with prescription lenses. The product represents Baidu's latest move in the competitive AI wearable market.
The launch follows Alibaba's recent entry into the space, with its self-developed Quark AI Glasses opening for pre-sales on October 24 via Tmall. Available for delivery before December 8, Alibaba's glasses start at 3,329 yuan ($456) for 88VIP members after discounts.
The simultaneous market entry of these tech giants signals growing competition in China's AI wearable segment, particularly for first-person perspective smart glasses designed for seamless daily integration and AI-powered functionality.
