Bilibili to Publish a Mobile Version of Fall Guys with Custom Gaming Skins, in China Only

Bilibili recently announced that it has secured the rights to publish a mobile version of the wildly popular game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, in China only, with four sets of custom gaming skins.

The platform has not yet disclosed a release date. Players can preregister on Bilibili’s gaming platform, and as of Monday morning, more than 130,000 users have expressed interest. The four sets of skins will be launched on August 25. Players can exchange crowns for the themed skins in the game.

The game is called Tangdouren in Chinese, which means jelly bean, a reference to the jelly bean-shaped characters in the game.

“We can confirm Bilibili has secured publishing rights to a mobile version in China,” Bill Croft, co-founder of Fall Guys developer Mediatonic, said in an interview with The Verge. “As you can imagine, we’ve had a lot of questions about platforms since launch, and of course we’d love to release on more platforms in the future but for now we’re focusing our efforts on PC and PS4.”

The announcement comes days after Fall Guys tweeted “if you see any ads for a mobile version they are scams.”

Released on PC and Sony’s PlayStation 4 earlier this month, Fall Guys has quickly become a viral hit and attracted more than 1.5 million players within 24 hours of its release.

The battle royale game, like PUBG and Human: Fall Flat, supports up to 60 players fighting against each other in multiple elimination rounds until one player emerges as the final winner.
