Bonjour Paris! Xiaomi Officially Enters France with its First Store Now Open in Paris
Xiaomi announced its official entry to the French market yesterday. This marks another milestone in Xiaomi’s expansion into the Western European market after it entered Spain last November.

Xiaomi is looking to dive into the French market by introducing more of its flagship smart phones and accessaries.
Xiaomi has been known for its unique “triathlon” business model comprising of hardware, internet service and new retail.
At the launch event at Intercontinental Paris Le Grand in Paris yesterday, Xiaomi announced that it would bring the business model to France, starting with opening its first authorized retail store. The move suggests Xiaomi‘s attempt to demonstrate its commitment to the French market whilst showcasing its determination to revolutionize the tech industry.
“So thrilled to be taking this huge step forward in our global journey, expanding further in Western Europe after we entered Spain last November,” Wang Xiang, senior vice president of Xiaomi writes in his twitter post about the debut.
“We are more than excited to enter our new market in Western Europe and we will strive to bring top-class products and services with advanced technology, superior quality and affordable prices to our Mi fans and potential customer base here in France,” Wang said at the event, “Xiaomi has always been dedicated to R&D and continuously strived to deliever innovative technology products to all. We believe our products will win the trust of our customers and hope that Xiaomi will live up to its vision of revolutionizing the technology industry.”
At the launch event, Xiaomi released three products: the Mi Mix 2S and Redmi Note 5 smartphones and the Mi Electric Scooter.
Xiaomi‘s offline partners include local retailers such as Fnac, DARTY, and Carrefour to develop a wide array of innovative products.
For its online presence, Xiaomi announced the kickoff of its online store. Customers can buy Xiaomi products, enjoy high-quality services, and learn more about product information and brand concepts. In addition to its own online portal, the company has also established partnerships with platforms including Cdiscount, Amazon FR, Auchan, Boulanger, Fnac, and DARTY to expand its reach to more French customers.
Xiaomi will also partner with France’s four telecom operators Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free, to provide users with more attractive options to switch or update their devices.
Xiaomi announced on the same day the opening of the first authorized store in Paris, located at 39 Boulevard de Sebastopol.
Enrico Salvatori, senior vice president of Qualcomm, was also at the launch event to congratulate Xiaomi on its arrival to the French market. “Qualcomm is pleased to welcome and cooperate with Xiaomi in France when they bring MIX 2S and Redmi Note 5 to France. We were also honored to witness Xiami’s entrance to Spain last year — it was its first success in West Europe. The MIX 2S features in the SnapDragon 845 and X20 LTE modem with a smooth full-screen design of interconnecting and immersive modes.”
