BOSS Zhipin Obtained 4.26B Yuan in 2021 Revenue
On Wednesday, Chinese online recruitment platform BOSS Zhipin, operated by Kanzhun Limited, released its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2021. Reported revenue for Q4 2021 was 1.09 billion yuan ($171 million), up 69.1% year-on-year, while that for the full year was 4.26 billion yuan, up 119.0% year-on-year.
Average monthly active users (MAUs) of the platform in Q4 were 24.4 million, up 14.0% from 21.4 million in the same period in 2020. In 2021, average MAUs were 27.1 million, up 36.9% from 19.8 million in 2020.
For the 12 months ended December 31, 2021, the firm’s paid enterprise customers totalled 4.0 million, up 81.8% compared to 2.2 million for the 12 months ending December 31, 2020.
In July 2021, China’s National Cyberspace Administration launched a network security security review of Yunmanman, Huochebang and BOSS Zhipin. During this review, new users couldn’t register for these apps, and BOSS Zhipin is still closed for new registrations.
The report claimed that the stickiness and recognition of the platform by regular users was fully verified in certain cases. The full-year report showed that average MAUs of the platform stood at 27.1 million for the year, up 37% year-on-year.

At the performance meeting, Zhao Peng said that BOSS Zhipin strictly follows the requirements of relevant laws and regulations and that the platform’s own business attributes builds a perfect personal information protection mechanism. Peng added that the firm is striving to develop into a leader within the Chinese human resources services sector. Regarding data security, BOSS Zhipin added another 750 people to its security-related team in 2021.
In addition, BOSS Zhipin predicts its revenue in Q1, 2022 will total 1.10 to 1.12 billion yuan, up 39.5% to 42.0% year-on-year.
