Lens manufacturer Brightinstar has released an affordable, full-frame 35mm F1.4 manual focus lens. With a retro metal design and an introductory price of RMB 699 (~USD 99.86), it targets photography enthusiasts seeking a budget-friendly prime lens.
Brightinstar on December 29 released its new MF 35mm F1.4 full-frame manual focus lens, priced at RMB 749 (approx. USD 107), with an introductory price of RMB 699 (approx. USD 99.86). Sales began at 8:00 p.m. the same day.
The lens features a full-metal body with a retro design and is available in black and silver finishes. Weighing approximately 218 grams, it supports multiple mounts, including Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, Leica L, and Fujifilm X (with equivalent focal length conversion for Fujifilm APS-C cameras).
It uses a 10-blade aperture and supports both clicked and de-clicked aperture modes, catering to still photography and video shooting. As a fully manual lens, it does not include electronic contacts, meaning no EXIF data transmission such as aperture or focal length; all focus and aperture adjustments are made via physical rings.
