Buffett Sells BYD H-shares Again

On June 26th, it was reported that Buffett sold 2.53 million BYD H-shares at a price of HKD 266.85 per share (USD 34), reducing his stake from 9.21% to 8.98%.

The documents from The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong show that Berkshire Hathaway, owned by Warren Buffett, reduced its holdings by 2.5325 million shares on June 19th, with an average reduction price of HKD 266.85 per share and a total value of approximately HKD 676 million (currently about USD 86 million).

This is the 12th time that The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has disclosed Buffett’s reduction of BYD H shares. As of June 19th, Berkshire Hathaway still held approximately 98.6031 million shares of BYD H shares.

Currently, BYD’s Hong Kong stock is priced at HKD 254.60 per share with a market value of HKD 806.79 billion (USD 103 billion). BYD’s A-share is priced about USD 33.6 per share with a market value of USD 102.6 billion, both experiencing certain declines.
