BYD Debuts DiSus Intelligent Body Control System for New Energy Vehicles
On April 10th, BYD officially released the industry’s first new energy exclusive intelligent vehicle body control system – “DiSus“
“In the most extreme situation, even if a wheel falls off, the vehicle can still maintain stable driving,” said Wang Chuanfu, Chairman of BYD at the DiSus technology conference. He stated that DiSus is a systematic solution to vehicle control issues in the vertical direction.
BYD DiSus includes four different sets of vehicle control systems: DiSus-C, DiSus-A, DiSus-P and DiSus-X. According to the plan, in the future, DiSus will be installed on Dynasty and Ocean series models, Tang EVs, DENZA, Yangwang and professional personalized brands.
Specifically, DiSus-C is an intelligent damping body control system, similar to the commonly seen CDC variable damping shock absorber in the market. It uses electronic control valves to adjust the damping of the shock absorber and is also an entry-level version of the DiSus series products.
DiSus-A is an intelligent air suspension control system that can wisely adjust the vehicle’s height. DiSus-A will be first installed on the DENZA N7 model.
DiSus-P is an intelligent hydraulic body control system that can perform in-place turning and emergency floating. BYD’s Yangwang U8 model is equipped with this system.

DiSus-X is the flagship model, which integrates the technical essence of three systems: DiSus C/A/P system. It can use binocular cameras or lidar to identify road undulations ahead and proactively adjust the suspension system status through predictive measures.
The DiSus system, which was released this time, is another self-developed technological achievement of BYD, following key technologies such as DM hybrid, e-platform, blade battery, CTB and E4.
