BYD Frigate 07 Rumored to Start Accepting Pre-Sales at Chengdu Auto Show
According to a report by Yiche on August 15, some dealers have mentioned that the BYD Frigate 07 will start pre-sales at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 26 and will then be listed at the end of September. This model has passed the declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the first half of this year and focuses on the medium-sized SUV market.
In terms of design, the BYD Frigate 07 and the first model of the warship series, the BYD Destroyer 05, adopt the same design language with several chrome-plated decorative strips across the air intake grille as a symbolic element.
The lines on the side of the Frigate 07 are like most other SUVs. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new vehicle are 482019201750mm and the wheelbase is 2820mm.
In terms of interior design, the Frigate 07 also presents a strong enough sense of luxury and technology. The car is equipped with a new steering wheel, and combines the full LCD dashboard with a central large-sized touch screen. The new vehicle will also be equipped with integrated electric adjustment seats, a 15.6-inch DiLink system central control panel, 12 speakers, 5G network and other configurations.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the DM-i plug-in hybrid system. The maximum power of the 1.5T engine is 102kW with the peak power of the front/rear motor able to reach 145kW/150kW, all of which is powered by an iron phosphate blade battery. The estimated pure electric cruising range is 200km. In addition, BYD will also launch a DM-P model for the Frigate 07 with strong power performance and a 0 – 100km/h acceleration time of 4.7 seconds.
