BYD Has Released 150,000 New Cars in Han Series
Shenzhen-based automaker BYD announced on Thursday that it has released 150,000 new cars in its Han series. It took the company one year for 100,000 vehicles to roll off the production line, while it took only five months from the 100,000th to 150,000th vehicle.
Han is BYD’s flagship sedan, positioned as a large-sized car, available in EV pure electric and DM plug-in hybrid versions. Earlier this month, the company announced that 12,841 Han series cars were sold in November 2021, with sales exceeding 10,000 for three consecutive months and month-on-month growth for seven consecutive months. What’s more, the monthly sales of Han EV pure electric cars exceeded 10,000 for the first time, with a month-on-month growth of 20.9%, making it the first pure electric large car with monthly sales exceeding 10,000.
The Han EV is equipped with AC permanent magnet synchronous motor, with front motor power of 163kW and torque of 330 N • m. It has a cruising range of 506 to 605 km and is equipped with a blade battery. The four-wheel-drive version accelerates for 3.9 seconds per 100 km, while the front-wheel-drive version accelerates for 7.9 seconds.

The whole series of Han EV is equipped with DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which has the function of traffic congestion assistance, forward collision warning, curve speed control, pedestrian recognition and protection, a lane departure warning system and so on. The car is equipped with eight to 12 ultrasonic radars, one to three high-precision millimeter wave radars and four intelligent driving cameras.
