BYD’s ATTO 3, the first A-class high-performance SUV built on the firm’s e-platform 3.0, was launched in Singapore on July 8, making its debut among ASEAN countries.
The BYD Yuan Plus has been named the ATTO 3 in overseas markets. ATTO is inspired by “attosecond,” the smallest time unit in physics. This new product was designed for high-performance vehicles with four significant advantages: aesthetics, intelligence, efficiency, and safety.
Led by BYD’s head designer Wolfgang Egger, the new model adopts BYD’s Dragon Face 3.0 design language featuring a sporty-themed interior design, specially designed for young customers. The new car has a size of 4455/1875/1615mm and a wheelbase of 2720mm. The vehicle features a 150kW motor of standard configuration, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.3 seconds.
Liu Xueliang, the general manager of the BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, once said: “BYD has sold nearly 600,000 new energy passenger cars globally in the past year. The company has entered the Singaporean market for nearly 10 years, and it has successfully brought new energy vehicles to the local area, such as taxis, tour buses, city buses, trucks, forklifts and urban commodity logistics vehicles. Today, we are honored to launch our new ATTO 3 in Singapore. The firm will also gradually enter the Southeast Asian market providing cleaner models for the local area.”
On February 19, 2022, BYD’s ATTO 3 hit the Australian passenger vehicle market. The official guide price of the vehicle ranges from 44,990 to 47,990 AUD ($30,705 – $32,753). At the same time, the ATTO 3 is specially equipped with an overseas version of the ecosystem app for the Australian market.
