BYD Launches New IP “Xia”, with A Model Set to Be Released This Year

On August 30th, BYD‘s new IP ‘Xia’ was officially launched at the Chengdu Auto Show. The model with the same name, the Dynasty’s first mid-to-large flagship MPV ‘Xia’, made its global debut. The new car is built on BYD’s new generation plug-in hybrid vehicle platform and adopts the Huama Longyan design language. It boasts six core values: technology, platform, safety, design, space, and intelligence. The expected starting price is 300,000, and it will officially be launched for global sales within the year.

Built on BYD’s new generation of plug-in hybrid vehicle platform, Xia features a plug-in hybrid exclusive body structure and is equipped with the DiSus intelligent damping body control system, significantly enhancing the upper limit of chassis comfort. It is leading the evolution of mid-to-large MPVs towards a direction that is larger, more flexible, more comfortable, and safer.

At the same time, as the first mid-to-large-sized MPV of the dynasty featuring the fifth-generation DM technology, Xia boasts excellent energy efficiency, providing users with extraordinarily low energy consumption and acceleration performance far superior to its peers.

Safety is the greatest luxury. Xia is built based on the latest C-NCAP five-star safety standards, which are among the most stringent standards in the automotive industry.
