BYD New Energy Passenger Cars Enter the Netherlands
On July 5, Chinese new energy vehicle company BYD announced its cooperation with Louwman, a European auto dealer group, to jointly provide new energy vehicles (NEVs) for the Dutch market.
Louwman Group, as BYD’s passenger car dealership partner in the Netherlands, will open offline stores in several Dutch cities and will provide a full set of sales and after-sales services for BYD NEVs through a combination of online platform and offline stores. From September this year, local consumers will be able to visit BYD’s pioneer store in Amsterdam to experience the latest BYD vehicles.
BYD is the first traditional automaker in the world to announce that it is discontinuing production of fuel-fired vehicles and focusing exclusively on new energy vehicles. The company has technologies such as Blade Battery, DM-i Super Hybrid and e-Platform 3.0. Founded in 1923, Louwman Group is one of the largest car dealership groups in Europe.
