BYD Sealion 07 DM-i Debuts with the Lingyuan Onboard Drone System

On March 2nd, the BYD Sealion 07 DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition made its global debut, featuring the BYD Lingyuan intelligent in-car drone system for the first time. The vehicle is positioned as a large five-seater SUV.

The body size of this new car is 4880*1920*1750mm, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. The front face of the car adopts a family-style exterior design, “three-dimensional curved surface interprets ocean rhythm”. The roof is equipped with a laser radar, the rear end is equipped with through-type taillights, and the lower right corner of the rear end is marked with the symbol DiPilot.

BYD previously classified the ‘DiPilot’ into three categories:

Advanced Intelligent Driving Three-Laser Edition (DiPilot 600)

Advanced Intelligent Driving Laser Edition (DiPilot 300)

Advanced Intelligent Driving Three-Camera Edition (DiPilot 100)

Among them, DiPilot 600 is mainly used in Yangwang brand, DiPilot 300 is mainly used in Denza brand and BYD brand, while DiPilot 100 will be equipped on the BYD brand.

The newly released ‘Lingyuan’ drone is equipped with built-in image transmission antenna, positioning module, and anemometer in the cabin, supporting dynamic takeoff and landing of drones at speeds below 25km/h, as well as automatic return of drones within 2km. ‘Lingyuan’ provides cars with a vertical perspective, achieving full vehicle integration between cars and drones, covering multiple brands and models under BYD.
