BYD YangWang U8 Is About to Start Delivery
On November 10th, BYD announced that the first batch of production vehicles for the BYD YangWang U8 has officially rolled off the assembly line and delivery is about to begin.
Looking up, the YangWang U8 luxury edition battery electric vehicle has a range of 180km (CLTC) for continuous driving and a comprehensive range of 1000km (CLTC). It can achieve a maximum power output of 1200 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.6 seconds. The YangWang U8 is equipped with the self-developed and domestically pioneering YiSiFang technology, as well as the world’s first intelligent hydraulic body control system exclusive to new energy off-road vehicles, known as the Cloud Chariot-P technology. It is the industry’s first implementation of three-axis six-degree-of-freedom body control.
BYD’s high-end new energy vehicle brand, YangWang U8, was officially launched on September 20th. The luxury version is priced at 1.098 million yuan ($150,570).
On October 22nd, according to the “Xi’an Release” official account, officials from the Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology introduced that Xi’an BYD has built the world’s largest new energy production base and a complete industrial supply chain system in Shanxi. Its new energy high-end model “YongWang U8” has been officially put into production, with product orders exceeding 30,000 vehicles.
