
BYD's Fifth-Generation DM Hybrid Technology to Pioneer Fuel Consumption Below 3L/km
Models equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology will have fuel consumption as low as less than 3 liters per 100 kilometers.
Zhang Zhuo, the General Manager of BYD Auto's Ocean Network Sales Division, announced in a post that the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, which will debut tomorrow night, will usher in the era of "fuel consumption 2.0", clearly indicating that the models equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology will have fuel consumption as low as 2-3 liters per 100 kilometers.
The BYD Qin L from the Dynasty Network system and the Seal 06 from the Ocean Network system will both officially go on sale. The Seal 06 DM-i has already revealed the following specifications:

Currently, the Qin PLUS DM-i is equipped with the fourth-generation DM hybrid technology, which means a combined fuel consumption of 3.8L per 100 kilometers, already lower than the majority of gasoline vehicles of the same class. Models equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology will have fuel consumption as low as less than 3 liters per 100 kilometers, marking a new record in the history of gasoline vehicles.
