ByteDance Launches Hiring Spree in Singapore
Beijing-based ByteDance has reportedly launched a hiring initiative in Singapore, recruiting at least 100 employees. The company has been linked with employees from other global tech giants including Facebook, Google and Grab.

ByteDance’s website currently lists 34 positions in Singapore, most of which are for various engineering roles listed after Chinese New Year. In 2019 there was talk of ByteDance considering Singapore as a global headquarters for TikTok, their globally popular short video sharing application.
Since March of 2019, the company already has registered a subsidiary in Singapore by the name of Lark Technologies, through which ByteDance launched Lark, their international enterprise communication software.
Recently, on March 6, TikTok hired cybersecurity veteran Roland Cloutier as chief information security officer.
