The company will use the word “Byte” to name its series of vehicles, including the newly launched Byton K-Byte concept and the first SUV concept car named M-Byte Concept. This inspiration stems from the name BYTON – which stands for “Bytes on Wheels”; “Byte” is also the computer’s data unit, symbolizing the digital power of Byton’s products and hence, forming an interconnection.
By adopting this naming strategy, Byton celebrates its brand DNA as a next-generation smart device,
said Carsten Breitfeld, CEO and co-founder of Byton.
The K-Byte concept car represents a new exploration of Byton’s intelligent design of automobiles. “It changes the design language of traditional cars and integrates elegance, avant-garde, luxury and dynamics, creating a new aesthetic of automotive design in the era of self-driving,” said Mr. Breitfeld.
The Byton K-Byte concept car comes in the form of a sedan. Reason being, the vehicle’s shape is stable and it does not lose its sportiness. The BYTON K-Byte concept car retains the Byton family design style and even has an impressive front face of upgraded BYTON Smart Surfaces.
The 3D layout of the light strips creates a three-dimensional, deep visual effect and enhances the sense of technology. The daytime driving lights are arranged like six brilliant diamonds, forming a simple yet sharp “BYTON Front Blade” design with a high degree of recognition.
“Byton has always insisted on a brand value of being closer to people,” said Dr. Daniel Kirchert, the president and co-founder of Byton, “we started Byton’s next-generation smart terminal project, which is the first car brand to invite core users to participate directly in long-term, in-depth development processes. This project will collect the most valuable core user suggestions and feedback for us.”
Byton has decided to adopt a direct sales model and in the fourth quarter of this year, the first BYTON brand shop is set to open in Shanghai.
