CATL and ZF Join Forces to Optimize Aftermarket Service in E-Mobility and Energy Storage
Chinese battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and ZF Group signed a global strategic partnership agreement on Friday to push forward their cooperation in aftermarket services. The agreement will cover service networks, battery-related training, connectivity, re-purposing technology and devices, among other enhancements.
ZF Group, headquartered in Frederick, Germany, is a global vspare parts supplier in the automotive industry. The collaboration with ZF will help CATL enhance its global aftersales capabilities and efficiency. ZF currently has more than 10,000 workshop partners throughout its global aftermarket chain, which will be considered the preferred option in CATL’s service network expansion.
Under the agreement, CATL will provide ZF with comprehensive battery training know-how, which will be combined with ZF’s DGUV high voltage training so as to enhance the competitiveness of its training programs and other aftersales services. The two parties also agreed to work together to establish and raise the standards for the industry as a whole.
