Guangzhou has launched China’s first mass-production flying car factory, capable of producing 10,000 units a year and marking a major milestone in the low-altitude economy.

China’s first large-scale flying car manufacturing facility has officially opened in Guangzhou, marking the first time this type of low-altitude economy product has entered mass production domestically.

According to officials, once all required verification and airworthiness certification processes are completed, the factory will gradually ramp up output as planned—transitioning flying cars from “small-batch testing” to true “scaled manufacturing.”

Guangzhou is already home to major players in the low-altitude economy. In Huangpu District, XPENG AEROHT recently rolled out the first unit of its “Land Aircraft Carrier” flying vehicle from its mass-production factory, marking the completion of the world’s first flying car production line.

The facility is also the world’s first flying car factory capable of producing up to 10,000 units per year, with the capacity to release one aircraft off the line every 30 minutes at full production. 1115-3.jpeg

Meanwhile, EHang has achieved several global firsts: its EH216-S autonomous passenger aircraft has obtained the world’s first eVTOL type certificate, production certificate, and standard airworthiness certificate—and recently completed its first commercial demonstration flight in Guangzhou Development Zone.
