On December 30, 2025, China’s National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Finance jointly announced adjustments to 2026 NEV subsidy policies, shifting from fixed-amount subsidies to price-based incentives. Despite the change, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) remains optimistic about a strong start for the auto market in 2026.

In addition, Leapmotor entered a strategic partnership with FAW Group, with FAW subscribing to shares at $7.15 per share, becoming a key shareholder.
