China’s First Offline JD Mall to Open in Xi’an on September 30

JD.com announced on Tuesday that its first JD MALL, the company’s new offline shopping center, will open on September 30 and be situated in Xi’an, the eastern end of the historical Silk Road.

The first offline JD MALL will have five floors with an area of 42,000 square meters, including more than 150 name-brand electrical appliances and 3C brands at home and abroad such as Apple, Huawei, Intel, Midea, Haier, Gree and Aux. About 200,000 products will be on sale at this location.

JD.com said that the new JD MALL is an upgrade of its E-SPACE and will enable consumers to touch and test products in store, and then buy online, hassle free. At the same time, the new mall will also become a product exhibition center allowing customers to fully interact with the latest state-of-the-art products.

At the same time, JD MALL will expanded the products to include household items, decoration products, children’s products, health care products and car accessories.

In terms of service experience, the new JD MALL has 11 themed areas and 29 interactive experience areas. Consumers can enjoy beauty care, audio products, drones, massage and other services.

In addition, the JD MALL will be equipped with holographic projection capabilities, VR equipment, intelligent robots, a virtual live broadcast room, transparent circuit room and other technological facilities and features.

According to Sohu Tech, besides the new offline JD MALL, JD.com has a variety of offline formats such as JD E-SPACE, 7Fresh and JD Convenience Stores.
