Chinese Agricultural Drone Startup XAG Releases New Products
On Wednesday, XAG, a domestic agricultural drone manufacturer, released several new products including the P100/V502022 agricultural unmanned drone, R150 agricultural unmanned vehicle and M500/M2000 remote sensing unmanned drone.
XAG’s P100/V50 agricultural UAV has undergone substantial technological innovation ranging from its structure to inner workings. The brand-new intelligent spraying system has greatly improved its spraying efficiency to 300 mu (200,000 m2) per hour.
By carrying a few different types of cameras, M500 can quickly realize farmland mapping and agricultural inspection, quantify farmland and crop growth information, and estimate yield to improve farmland management efficiency and reduce management costs.
The M2000 can easily cope with high frequency aerial surveilance tasks and build digital maps stably and quickly. The drone even can meet the large-scale aerial survey needs for forestry, fishery and animal husbandry.
In addition to releasing a series of intelligent hardware devices, XAG also launched a new service system at the conference. The new service system is an upgrade to the company’s outlets, teams and items. In 2022, XAG will establish 25 direct service stations, 50 mobile service stations and another 850 retail service outlets nationwide, so that XAG’s services can reach customers within a 100 kilometer radius.

In order to implement unmanned farming operations into practice, XAG built a cotton field of 3,000 mu (2 km2) in Xinjiang at the beginning of this year. Two employees from the company are currently managing this field with the help of robots and drones.
Their practice not only reduces the labor management cost, but also improves the efficiency and quality of cotton production, which demonstrates the feasibility of applying an unmanned management model to large-scale planting situations.
