Chinese NEVs Drive 9.8 Billion Km in November, Up 46.32% Year-on-Year
On December 8, China’s National Big Data Alliance of New Energy Vehicles released mileage data regarding new energy vehicles in November, suggesting NEVs drove 9.8 billion km last month, up 46.32% year-on-year.
Categorized by application type, in November, the mileage of passenger cars was 7.525 billion km, accounting for 76.78% of the total. That of buses is 1.48 billion km, accounting for 15.10% of the total. Finally, that of special vehicles is 796 million km, accounting for 8.12% of the total.
By driving type, the total mileage of pure EVs is 8.395 billion km, accounting for 85.66% of the total. That of plug-in hybrid vehicles is 1.394 billion km, accounting for 12.44% of the total mileage. Lastly, that of fuel cell vehicles accounts for 0.11%.
From January to November this year, the accumulated mileage reached 90.612 billion km, and the top ten car companies had a total mileage of 45.049 billion km, accounting for 49.71%. Among them, BYD Auto, SAIC Motors and BYD Auto Industry ranked the top three. According to the production and sales express in November released by BYD, BYD Group sold a total of 98,340 vehicles in November, a year-on-year increase of 82%.

Over the first 11 months, the mileage of the country’s top 10 provinces was 62.742 billion km, and Guangdong Province, Zhejiang Province and Shanghai ranked the top three, accounting for 38.42% of all mileage. Among them, Guangdong Province ranked first, and the mileage of vehicles in November and the accumulated mileage from January to November account for more than 1/5 of all of China.
