Chow Tai Fook Partners with ByteDance Volcano Engine to Launch AR Try-On and Enterprise AI Agents

Chow Tai Fook deployed an AI Agent platform with ByteDance Volcano Engine, launching 351 enterprise agents used by 24k+ employees and introducing AR virtual try-on for consumers.
Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group has partnered with ByteDance’s Volcano Engine to build a unified enterprise AI Agent platform, introducing the “AI A-Fu Agent Family” to enhance operational efficiency across its retail organization.
Since the platform went live in late 2024, Chow Tai Fook has deployed 351 AI agents, with over 24,000 employees collectively conducting more than one million interactions. The core agent, “A-Fu”, functions as an enterprise assistant capable of knowledge Q&A, content creation, multilingual translation, and professional jewelry expertise.
Specialized agents have also been rolled out, including Finance A-Fu for expense reimbursement, IT Helpdesk A-Fu, HR A-Fu for policy interpretation, and Visual Merchandising A-Fu for store display guidance. On the consumer side, the partnership introduced AR virtual try-on, allowing shoppers to preview jewelry online, as well as an AI-powered shopping assistant supporting cross-border e-commerce through intelligent Q&A, recommendations, and customer service.
