Configurations of Black Shark’s New Gaming Smartphone Leaked
Chinese tech industry tipster with Weibo nickname “Digital Chat Station” broke the news on Wednesday that Black Shark, a gaming smartphone brand, is building a new product. However, the account also said that due to the upcoming release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the new Black Shark smartphone may not be released in the near future.
The blogger said that the new phone will be equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED single-notch straight display with an ultra-high refresh rate. The rear will have a 64MP or 108MP trio-cameras. The smartphone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and will adopt new SSD technology. It will support 120W fast charging, with a battery of 4790mAh. It is also expected to have Force Touch display, X-axis motor and symmetrical dual speakers.
At the end of March this year, Black Shark 5, Black Shark 5 Pro and Black Shark 5 RS were launched. The Black Shark 5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 SoC, with a 64MP main camera, a 13MP super wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro lens in the rear. The Black Shark 5 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, equipped with a 108MP main camera, a 13MP super wide-angle camera and a 5MP telephoto macro camera.

With the ultra-high touch sampling rate of 720Hz on the screen, the Black Shark 5 Pro adopts a new Touch Control solution to reconstruct the touch algorithm architecture, with computing power increased by 20% and response speed increased by 15%.
In terms of the storage system matched with SoC, the Black Shark 5 Pro is equipped with Disk Array System 2.0, and optimizes sequence and random read-write ability through RAID disk system architecture. Disk Array System 2.0 improved the model’s reading performance by 124.5% and writing performance by 83%.
