DeepSeek Officially Denies the Claim that ‘R2 Will Be Released on March 17th’
Regarding the rumors of DeepSeek releasing the next generation R2 model on March 17, the official corporate consulting account of DeepSeek responded in user groups, ‘Clarification: The release of R2 is fake news.’
As of the time of writing, DeepSeek has not officially announced the specific date and technical details of R2. Earlier, Reuters reported that three informed sources revealed that DeepSeek is accelerating the launch of its R2 artificial intelligence model. The company initially planned to launch it in May but is currently working hard to release it as soon as possible. Sources said that the new model is expected to generate better code and be able to reason in languages other than English.
